Finished project at Art & Design class!
06/29/2010
Hello!!! Just wanted to let you know that we finally finalized our project at Art & Design class which was great!
I was so amazed by how much they've worked on their thing (i don't know how you call it in english) with the crochet-hook, most of them were very patient and they've all done such a wonderful job!!!
In the last day when they were getting ready to finish up their thing, i asked them if they wanted to give it away as a gift or use it for their classroom,,,,,,,,,,,,,, so almost all of them wanted to offer their nice work that they've done with their own hands as a present to their teachers and they did that, which was very nice of them!
They did such a great job with that and i was very proud of them for trying new things that came out pretty nice!!! Praise the Lord!!!
Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers!!! Be blessed by Him always in everything you do or say!!!

Here are some of the ones that did this project who turned out really well, the other ones were missing that day!

This was Claudia's work and you can tell that she really loves pink!

This is Lenuta's work! I really loved how she combined all the colors!
God’s blessings are wonderful!

We have been blessed this year too with the Canadian Team that are always so open to serve God amongst the kids and us as a foundation!
We took the little kids from the music class to the puppet show and some of the team members came along to spend time with them.
After the show, we went with the kids at McDonald to have lunch there and they were so excited about that!!!
Then we went in one of the Parks from Bucharest with the kids and we stayed there for awhile,,,,,,,,,,, they were so excited to be there because there was such a nice playground and they really enjoyed that time.
It was such a very, very nice day and all the kids, us and the Canadian Team had so much fun!!!
We also did another trip with the kids from the art & design class, again the Canadian Team came along and we took them to see the Cotroceni Museum that our President has which is close to his house,,,,,,, there are such nice bulidings over there!
The Museum was a very interesting building to visit for all of us because there was so much to learn about the romanian history. It was a pretty place to see and i think the kids really liked it!!!
After the visit, we went to the Botanical Garden that was very close to the Museum, we had lunch there and then we were admiring all the beautiful flowers & the little lakes that were there!
Like every year, the Canadian team organized again a "girls day" with all the graduates and also with the ones that are in the GTH program this year.
They prepared all the things so well and in such a nice way!!!
They talked about how they've let the Lord guiding them in taking wise decisions in their lives and it was really awesome to hear that! They also talked about how to eat healthy food, so that our body will stay strong, in shape and healthy.
Then we all had lunch together that was prepared by 3 special men and it was very, very delicious!!!
It was such a blessed, great and fun day for all the girls & for us as well!!!
Praise the Lord for all the wonderful blessings He has poured on us and still does,,,,,,,,,, not that we deserve it, but because He's so faithful!!!
Progress at Art & Design class (crochet)!!!
05/06/2010
Hello!!!
Just want to let you know that the work with the kids is going pretty well, thanks to Our Heavenly Father who is always with us!
This week we had Art and Design class which was very exciting for most of the kids that are involved in this!
I made a few changes,,,,,,,,,,, i took other kids in this class because the other ones that were ususally on the list didn't wanted to come anymore, they thought it was to hard for them, so they quit,,,,,,,,,, which was sad to see this!
So, almost all the kids that are right now in the art class are very excited about the crochet and they enjoy doing it,,,,,,,,,,,, and they also got pretty far with it, even some of the H2H staff (Lenuta, Krista and Kirsteen) are enjoying the crochet as well, which is awesome!!!
Mirela is one of my student who came into this class later on, but i was so amazwed by how fast she got the idea with the crochet and her progress is so big!
You can tell how focus Mirela and Kirsteen were!!!

Berki is really good at it as well!!! He didn't wanted me to take a picture of him because he thinks he doesn't look good in pictures, which is not true,,,,,,,, and even with that, i still got it!!!

Violeta is one of my student that came last and i was very surprised by how fast she got it too!!!

Claudia came later on in this class, but she got it pretty quik that right now she's ahead of the other ones!!! She's pretty fast!!! She didn't wanted me to take a picture os her as well,,,,,, but still got it as you can see!

Florin is enjoying it too even though he's slow, but he's getting better!!!
You can see that Florin and Lenuta were so focused too!
Thank you for your constant support in prayers and other things!!!
May the Lord bless you with His heavenly blessings as you continue to serve Him!!!
Special projects with the kids at the GTH!
04/09/2010
This week we had a team of four ladies who came along with Jodi Sorrels and her daughter Anna to do different projects for the kids from Peris who are in the music, art & design, cooking and dance class. But, the sad part was that not all the kids from these groups were here for those projects, they were home!
I was really impressed to see how well the team organized all the things for the kids including all the supplies they need it for every project!
So, the first project was on Monday, music with the two groups of the advanced class. The kids had to listen to two stories from a french composer and find the right instruments that will sound as the characters from one of the stories. They used the instruments they picked to tell the story and they did such a great job with that!!!
On Tuesday we had music as well with the beginners and the little ones (we usually call them 'monkeys'). Anna did games with them on animals, then they learned a lit a bit about some of them and they had to find instruments that will sound as the animal they've received for their group.
We also had in the after-noon the art & design class lead by Anna. There were different activities for this class, so they did it by rotation and they started with little monsters from felt, then drawing on a special paper and using different paint colors & a stamp, they made flowers by yarn and they draw with watercolor paint. They did a pretty good job with that and i have to confess that i was very amazed by how talented are many of them, especially in drawing!!!
Wednesday we went to the Zoo with some of the kids from the music class (the little ones) and we also took as a reward the ones who won points at our program that we have from Monday to Wednesday. We took 7 kids with us and we also had two members from the team who came along which was great!
It was such a sunny day outside and we were really surprised about the changes they made at the Zoo! The kids were very excited about all the animals they have seen in that day, we could see some of them very clearly, but some not so much because the cages was in glass which was pretty sad!
On Thursday we had the cooking class taught by Anna this time and there was only 4 girls! At the beginning they decorated their own aprons and then they did an italian recipe: a tomato salad with 'mozarello' cheese and different spices, spaghetti with tomato sauce and an italian cookie.
They were really amazing, very good helpers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the food actually turned out pretty good and the cookie as well!!! They did a great job!!!
Today was our last project with the dance class. At first they practiced and performed the dances they've learned (they could remember just the three of them), then we played a game 'exercise dance' to teach them how to move keeping the beat and how to express themselves according to the music that's played.
Then they worked on their costumes and they learned somehow how to come up with motions for a melody! It was really neat to see them trying all these stuff that they don't usually do everyday and they seemed to enjoyed it a lot! I personally was very impressed with all of them for everything they did!!!
Thank you a lot for your prayers and constant support that's always so welcomed!!!
God bless you and keep you safe!!!
Praise the Lord for the Spring!
04/02/2010
Hi!!! Spring is here indeed! Praise the Lord!
Well, I just wanted to say that I was very impressed with the Kiwanis team that came in March.
Three weeks ago we had the Kiwanis team helping us with our program with the kids and they've done such a great job with them.
The hero character for that week was Daniel and personally I was very surprised to see that they accepted to do the power play story of "Daniel in the lions den" for more than one time, they were all dressed up in costumes,,,,, and let me tell you that the kids had so much fun with that skit & i'm pretty sure they did too!
It was really nice seeing them interacting with the kids and they even told them some things about themselves which was really good for the kids to hear because in some way they could relate to their stories.
I want to mention that one member from the Kiwanis team, Ian was a very good who came to offer his services to the kids from the orphanage, to the H2H staff and to the people from Church & he also made time for playing with the kids which was great and the kids really loved him!
He really did a nice job!!!
Again, thank you for everything you do and may the Lord bless the work of your hands!
