Our Ministry in Romania
H2H International uniquely ministers to Romanian orphans throughout their childhood.
Starting at the earliest stage of abandonment, H2H missionaries and teams care for infants and toddlers abandoned in hospitals throughout Bucharest. As the babies grow into children, H2H is there at several state-operated orphanages, providing tutoring, mentoring, Bible studies, special classes, and one-on-one care and guidance to these children. Teenagers are encouraged to participate in computer classes, music and art lessons, youth groups, and life skills classes. When these orphaned teens reach adulthood, they have the opportunity to participate in the H2H Transition Program. These older orphans become a part of the H2H Family as they progress through the program.
H2H ministers through the hands of a full-time missionary staff composed of national workers and international missionaries. Short-term Teams are also vital to H2H’s ongoing ministry. Teams bring fresh ideas, new ministry insight, and extra hands and feet!
H2H partners with the local evangelical church in Romania. Many youth from the church assist H2H’s teams as translators. H2H’s Transition Program residents and graduates attend the local church and are involved in local ministry.
Orphanage Ministry
Each year H2H hosts around 60 team members to serve in the state-operated orphanages in Romania. Teams from all over America and Canada minister at orphanages in several communities throughout the country. Team members lead Bible studies, teach crafts, play games, and encourage children to rely on Jesus for strength and substance. Our teams have been extremely well received by a normally hesitant government staff and are able to share Christ’s love with both the orphans and the orphanage workers.
H2H accepts applications for ministry teams throughout the year.

Summer Camp Ministry
For the last several years, H2H has taken orphanages of children camping throughout Romania. H2H’s Camp Ministry allows these orphaned children the opportunity to experience things away from their small communities. H2H team members enjoy watching the children try things for the first time- like wearing a swim suit, eating smores, and sleeping in a tent.
The days are filled with hiking, swimming, Bible Studies, good food, and many opportunities to build personal relationships with the children. Team members clearly present the Gospel in numerous ways throughout the camp week. The joy on the kids faces as they experience love from the H2H team is always the greatest reward any team member could ask for.
